How to Install The Spring On Your Steering Assembly - RGS-2 & RGS-3

Tools Required For This Repair

For this repair you will need a Philip head screwdriver.

Step 1:

Use a Phillip head screwdriver to loosen one screw on the metal plate by twisting it anticlockwise.

Step 2:

Take out the screw and put it to a side.

Step 3:

Pivot the metal plate to the side until the top of the spring is visible, then push the spring out of the steering assembly. If needed, loosed the other screw to allow the metal plate to pivot more easily.

Step 4:

Insert the new steering spring into the assembly. Then, pivot the metal plate back over the top of the spring.

Warning:

Make sure the wider part of the spring is directly below the metal plate.

Step 5:

Tighten the screw back onto the metal plate with a screwdriver by twisting clockwise.
