How to Replace the Steering Spring on Your RGS-0 and RGS-1 3Style Scooter



Step 1:

Using an Allen Key that came in the pack with your 3Style Scooter, unscrew the bolts and screws on the fender plate on the underside of your scooter.

 

Step 2:

Take the fender plate off 

 

Step 3: 

Take the steering assembly off from the scooter.

 

Step 4:

Using an Allen key, secure the screw that holds the steering spring in place. Then, use a second Allen key to loosen the bolt on the opposite side. 

 

Step 5:

Remove the screw from the steering assembly. Then, use an Allen key to push the shank bolt through the steering spring.

 

Step 6:

Remove the metal plate covering the steering spring by pulling on it. Then, remove the steering spring.

 

Step 7:

With your new steering spring, place it back onto the centre of the assembly.

 

Step 8:

This part can be a bit fiddly! Position the metal plate back onto the steering spring, making sure its aligned properly. Push down hard to ensure it's in place.

 

Step 9:

Place the long shank bolt into the steering assembly.

 

Step 10:

Place the screw back onto the other side of the steering spring and twist clockwise to tighten.

 

 Step 11: 

Using the same method as before, hold one Allen key steady against the metal plate while you tighten the screw on the opposite side with another Allen key.

 

 Step 12: 

Place the steering assembly back onto the bolts at the bottom of the scooter. Make sure the holes are aligned properly.

 

 Step 13:

Place the fender plate back onto the bottom of the scooter. Make sure all the holes are lined up.

 

Step 14:

Place the screws and bolts back into the fender plate.

 

Step 15: 

Using the flat side of the Allen key, tighten the bolts back in place.



Step 16:

Using the pointed side of an Allen key, tighten the screws back in place.
