Replacing The Steering Assembly On Your RGS-0 & RGS-1 Scooter

How to Replace the Steering Assembly on Your RGS-0 and RGS-1 Toddler Scooter

Step 1:

Using an allen key that came with your scooter, unscrew the bolts and screws on the fender plate on the underside of your scooter.



Step 2:

Take off the fender plate. 


 Step 3: 

Take off the steering assembly of from the scooter



Step 4: 

Using an allen key, unscrew the bolt in the centre of your wheel. Remember, if you're removing the right wheel you'll have to unscrew anticlockwise. If you're removing the left wheel you'll have to unscrew clockwise.

 

Step 5:

Take the wheel off from the steering assembly.


Step 6:

Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the other wheel.


Step 7:

Once your new steering assembly is in place, reattach the wheels by aligning them with the shank bolts. Then, tighten the wheel bolts located at the centre of each wheel with an allen key.

 

Step 8:

 
Place the steering assembly back onto the bolts at the bottom of the scooter. Make sure they're aligned properly, otherwise the steering assembly won't fit on correctly.


Step 9: 

Place the fender plate back onto the bottom of the scooter. Make sure all holes are lined up so the scew and bolts tighten correctly. 


Step 10: 

Place the screws and bolts into the fender plate.



Step 11: 


Using the flat side of an allen key, tighten the bolts back in place on the fender plate.


Step 12: 

Using the pointed side of an allen key, tighten the screws back in place on the fender plate.
