Setting Up Your RGS-2 Scooter

How To Set Up Your RGS-2 Scooter

Step 1

Place the scooters handles on your hips with the base of the scooter facing the floor. Next pull the black easy grip handle towards your body which will then unlock the opening and closing mechanism on the scooter.

Step 2

While still pulling on the black handle push down the base of the scooter until it locks in to the upright position.

Step 3

If the black easy grip handle too stiff pull towards you hold the base of the scooter and the handlebars with one hand slightly squeezing them together and then with your other hand pull on the black handle to unfold the scooter.

Sometime the handles can be a little stiff if they are not opened at the correct angle. The way that the mechanism works is by a metal block located at the base of the handlebars which locks into a socket on the base of the scooter. If this is not in line with the socket when pulling on the black handle it will make it difficult to unlock as there is too much friction.

Step 4

To close the scooter place the scooters handles on your hips with the back wheel facing the floor and then pull on the black easy grip handle to unlock the opening and closing mechanism and then fold down the handlebars.

Step 5

If it is stiff to pull on the black easy grip handle then push the base of the scooter away from the handlebars with one hand and then with your other hand pull on the black handle. Don’t be afraid to pull hard on the black pump to open/close the scooter.
